Xenia Gamaris is the first violinist of Rusquartet. She graduated at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and completed a post-graduate course at the same institution with professor Eduard Grach. She is a prizewinner at several international competitions and she participated in some of the most prestigious European festivals. Xenia represented the Russian Federation of UNESCO in Austria and Jordan. Since 1993 Xenia has been touring in Europe, Asia and Russia, performing on the most prestigious stages as a soloist as well as with outstanding musicians such as Shlomo Mintz, Alexander Vedernikov, Itamar Golan and Vladimir Spivakov. Since 1997 Xenia is a soloist of the Moscow State Philharmonic. She performs on many cd’s. Her diverse repertoire ranges from baroque and classical to modern, crossover and jazz.
