Anna Yanchishina, born in Moscow in 1983, is second violinist in Rusquartet. Anna started playing the violin at the age of 6 with Natalia Boyarskaya at the children’s music school of the Moscow Conservatory. Throughout her school years Anna performed at concerts and at the age of 9 she made her debut with the Bolshoi symphony orchestra under Alexander Lazarev. From 1998 to 2002 Anna continued her music education at the Moscow Conservatory in the class of Alvia Vandysheva. During these years Anna successfully participated in many competitions and music festivals. In 2007 she graduated from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and in 2010 she completed her Masters with professor Girshenko. As a soloist Anna performed with conductors such as Alexander Lazarev, Jean-Bernard Pommier and Igor Dronov. She collaborated in chamber music performances with a.o. Philip Setzer, Barry Shiffman, Denis Brott, Philipp Graffin, Stephen Prutsman, Borromeo String Quartet and Desmond Hoebig. Since 2010 Anna teaches string quartets at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
